On Monday evening, the Grand Opening der offizielle Startschuss fürs Basketball Wien Osterturnier 2026 gegeben.
Short and snappy, energetic, gripping, full of atmosphere!
Wir starten mit ein paar Worten vom Veranstalters, damit alle wissen, was Sache ist.
Then the flag-bearers’ entrance, begleitet vom Applaus der tausenden Teilnehmer werden die Flags der teilnehmenden Länder in die Halle getragen.
A live act sets the tone and powers up the vibe (spoiler alert: our pyrotechnics team will make the sparks fly again this year).
Last but not least, we’ve got Fii “Mr. Beatbox” live on stage! If you’ve been here before, you know him—and you know Fii rocks so hard he’ll blow your socks off and make the stage shake.

ALMOST 3-POINT CONTEST

Pure thrills await you at the ALMOST 3-Point Contest in Stadthalle B!
On Tuesday, enjoy a thrilling spectacle for all ages. Teams face off, shooting from set spots on the court. Referees oversee the contest, and the teams with the most makes advance to the next round.
Be there when the shots drop from inside the three-point line. It’s going to be exciting…
KIDS SKILLS RELAY
19:15 - 20:00
An exhilarating relay awaits the U12 and U13 kids in Stadthalle B on Wednesday.
Only the fastest and most skillful teams stand a chance in this exciting contest. Six players—girls and boys—form mixed teams.
In the Kids Skills Relay , it’s all about navigating a challenging slalom course while dribbling. Referees ensure fair play and thrilling head-to-head runs. The winning team is the one whose final runner clears the forest of poles without any rule violations.
Join us and see who dribbles their way to victory.
MIXED FREE THROWS
19:15 - 20:00
The mixed-team competition on Thursday.
Players take turns shooting free throws.The goal is to make as many shots as possible within 90 seconds. The teams with the most makes per round advance. No coaches or adult chaperones allowed.

SLAM DUNK CONTEST

On Friday evening, the Easter Tournament heads toward one of its absolute highlights. Vienna’s Stadthalle turns into a full-on event dome as players and coaches pour in to witness the breathtaking Slam Dunk Contest .
It’s simply fascinating how the finalists—selected in the tryouts—hammer the ball into and through the hoop. With incredible hang time and spectacular dunks, they thrill both the crowd and a high-profile jury. Scoring is based on (jump) power, originality, and showmanship.
Host Richie T. on the mic and beatboxer Fii—live with guests and also on the decks—deliver the sound and the vibe.
Right after the contest and the honoring of the “heroes of the skies” , the Tournament Clubbing kicks off, while chaperones and coaches wind down the tournament at the Coach Pub.

The Tournament Clubbing powered by “kronehit – wir sind die meiste musik”, the closing party right after the Slam Dunk Contest!
Clubbing at its best! Let’s dance till midnight! With the impressive kronehit pickup turning Hall E into a dance floor, the Tournament Clubbing becomes the ultimate farewell party for 500 teams and their 6,000 players from across Europe. The kronehit DJ spins the trendiest beats and hottest hits. Get ready for the final tournament night in Vienna and make unforgettable memories. After all, we want to end with a bang and properly say: “Farewell Easter Tournament — see you next year!”
